Funchal Town Hall open for visits
The Municipal Council of Funchal currently offers the public daily tours of the building where the municipality’s facilities are located – the Carvalhal Esmeraldo Palace.
During the visit, which lasts about 40 minutes, visitors can get to know the history behind this palace, the city and Madeira. The initiative aims to enhance this palace, for although this building is part of everyday life, most people do not truly know its mysteries and features.
The palace can be visited in the morning or in the afternoon, by appointment, for groups up to 25 people.
