Emergency Support for the Cultural sector – Covid-19
The Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation has published a call for tender, for Emergency Support purposes, destined for cultural professionals and agents affected by the impacting results of the Covid-19 pandemic, due to the suspension of their activity and destined mainly for the Visual Arts, Dance, Music and Theatre fields.
This support, is also destined towards, private non-profit artistic production organizations, whose activity has been suspended due to the cancellation of concerts, shows or exhibitions, as is the case of Portuguese artists, technicians and other specialized professionals working on national territory.
In this context, artistic production structures can apply for this support, in order to maintain jobs and create conditions for the rapid recovery of all agents in this sector.
Those interested must submit their application online, until April 6th (until 12p.m.), which will then undergo selection by the Board of Directors of the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation at the proposal of a Jury constituted for this purpose.
The beneficiaries’ applications are eligible (…) if able to prove that concerts, shows and exhibitions were cancelled as a result of the measures imposed by the Covid-19 pandemic, such as by submitting the declaration of the entity contracting the concert or show or of the entity hosting the exhibition.
Amount of the Support
The amount of financial support will be determined by the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation, with a maximum limit of €2,500 for artists and technicians and €20,000 for artistic production structures.
