Vote for Madeira – World’s Leading Island Destination - WTA
Madeira destination is nominated for the 6th consecutive time in the 2020 World Travel Awards (WTA), considered the “oscars of tourism”, in the category of World’s Leading Island Destination.
Other tourist destinations of reference compete in this category, namely Ambergris Caye (Belize), Bali (Indonesia), Barbados, Bora Bora (French Polynesia), Cook Islands, Cozumel (Mexico), Fiji, Hawaii, Holbox Island (Mexico), Jamaica , Maldives, Mauritania, Saint Lucia, Sardinia (Italy), Seychelles, Siargao (Philippines), Turks and Caicos Islands and Zanzibar (Tanzania), in a voting process that will run until the 25th of October.
Created in 1993, the “World Travel Awards” are held once a year and aim to recognize, reward and celebrate excellence in all sectors of the tourism industry on a global scale.
