The island of Madeira, because of its privileged geographical position and mountainous relief, have a surprisingly mild climate.Very mild average temperatures, 25ºC in the summer and 17ºC in the winter, and a moderate level of humidity, confer upon this island exceptional subtropical features.
The seawater temperature is also very mild, because of the influence of the warm Gulf current, presenting averages of 22ºC in the summer and 18º in the winter.

The Animad Association was founded in September 2011 by Natália Vieira and António Ferreira.

Between 2019 and 2020, this association travelled to Porto Santo at the invitation of the Regional Secretariat for Tourism and Culture / Regional Tourism Board.

It is a troupe well known for the use of beadwork and for its creativity, having Orlando Vieira as its stylist/creator.

Animad has social interests being an entity with animal protection concerns.
