The sports hall of the Bartolomeu Perestrelo School hosts the 21st edition of the Madeira International Table Tennis Open, an event part of the World Junior Circuit of the International Table Tennis Federation in a sports competition to be held between September,8th to 10th.
September, 23rd to 24th
The Surf Association of the Autonomous Region of Madeira (ASRAM) in partnership with the Machico Ludens Sport Club is currently organising the fifth edition of the Bodyboard Girls Experience, an annual meeting to be held on 23 and 24 September dedicated to the promotion of female bodyboarding and the island of Madeira as a destination of excellence for this sport.
The Palheiro Golf course was the centre stage for the second edition of the “Madeira Wine Open Tournament”, an initiative directed at Golf lovers, which has been arousing the interest of many national and international players at each edition, in the “4 ball better ball” modality, to be held between October,1st.
September 29th to October 1st
The “Biosphere Roller Skate” is an International Speed Skating Tournament held in Faial, in Santana (Madeira), more specifically between the track of 200 metres situated at the mouth of Ribeira do Faial and the karts racing track circuit, with a total perimeter of 1060 metres, in a competition tobe held between October, 6th to 7th.
The city of Funchal is part of an international route of Eco Trail events, a kind of trail running that is unique for the fact that it includes an urban circuit, a competition held on Octobre, 28th.
October 27th to November 1st
From October 28th to November 1st, Madeira Island annually hosts the Madeira Island International Swim Marathon (MIISM), a sports initiative organized by the Funchal Naval Club, in partnership with the Madeira Swimming Association, aiming to attract an increasing number of “open water swimmers”.
November, 6th to 12th
The Madeira Bridge Association, promotes this tournement to be held betweeen November, 6th to 12th at Vidamar Resorts Madeira Hotel, in Funchal.
November,11th to 13th
Between November, 11th to 12th, Madeira hosts the fourth edition of Sandokan - Enduro Madeira Island race, a MTB sport competition promoted by the company BIKULTURE, held at the municipality of Calheta.
The Tour of the City of Funchal is an event promoted by the Madeira Athletics Association and considered one of the oldest of its kind in Portugal and Europe.
This competition has attracted several national and international athletes to Madeira, bringing lots of adrenaline to the downtown area of the island’s capital.
