Finnair announces a new route to Madeira
Finnish airline Finnair has announced that, from April 27th 2015, will start running a regular flight to Madeira, but did not specify the airport of origin.
According to Finnair, the Funchal route will be operated year-round and will give access to a popular destination that combines stunning landscapes, mountaineering opportunities and a range of attractions for all ages.
Madeira’s international airport already receives flights from Finland. Finnair currently flies to the region from various Finnish airports as part of operations contracted by tour operators.
Madeira has recently started receiving twice-weekly flights run by the airline Norwegian, to and from London’s Gatwick airport, as well as a weekly flight from Munich, run by the German company Germania.
In addition, easyJet is planning a twice a week flights between Funchal and the cities of Manchester and Edinburgh beginning on February 2015, and TUIfly will be running a new weekly flight from Munich.
